Welcome to our Meeting Information Website!
The main purpose of this website is to help alcoholics, as well as those who might just think they have a problem with alcohol, find a local area meeting to listen and share about the disease of alcoholism. There is never any obligation to join, and there are never any dues or fees. A.A. believes only individuals can tell for themselves if they are alcoholic or not. "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all A.A. Traditions, ever reminding members to place principles before personalities." Everyone who attends an A.A. meeting, and everything that is said at an A.A. meeting, remains anonymous. No one will ever ask you for your last name (we use first names only), your address, or your phone number. Members sometimes just identify themselves as a "Friend of Bill" (referring to one of the founders, Bill Wilson). "Who you see here, what you hear here, let it stay here!" "Sobriety is a gift, not a gift card. Enjoy it now!" Disclaimer Notice: This website is NOT affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, or A.A. World Services, Inc. It is a personal website,non-commercial, and freely offered to those seeking recovery from alcoholism. This site was developed using the GSO sanctioned Guidelines For AA Websites standards --Updated: June 3,2010
AA Preamble
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
