About the Asheboro NC AA Website

"I AM RESPONSIBLE. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A.
always to be there. And for that: I am responsible."

We current active members of Asheboro AA meetings hold firm in the belief that A.A. really
works if you will only DO the Twelve Steps.

A.A. welcomes anyone suffering from the disease of alcoholism, anyone who knows someone
who may be suffering from the disease of alcoholism, and anyone who is interested in a
shared experience of learning to live a new life based on some universal spiritual practices.

In fact, we are simply a loosely-organized group of very fortunate sober drunks who love
sharing this gift with others.

"Meeting Makers Make It."

The purpose of this website is:
I am Responsible
The Responsibility
Declaration  was written
by Al S., a former
Grapevine editor and
trustee of Alcoholics
Anonymous for the 1965
International Convention
held in Toronto.

Bill W. expanded on the
theme in an essay called
"Responsibility Is Our
Theme" for the July 1965
Grapevine.

This goes hand in hand
with the Fifth Tradition.
The long form says "Each
Alcoholics Anonymous
group ought to be a
spiritual entity having but
one primary purpose --
that of carrying its
message to the alcoholic
who still suffers."
About Us
  • To provide a comprehensive list of meetings in the Asheboro, Archdale, Denton, Liberty,
Trinity, and Randleman areas of North Carolina, so that suffering alcoholics can quickly
and easily find a meeting to attend.

  • To carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic by relating others have recovered
from the disease -- a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body.

  • To provide information and links to other resources for more information.
